Classes
At Rookies we believe in enriching the lives of our children by creating dynamic and exciting partnerships with specialist Early Years Delivery Agencies. Where possible we offer active sessions in line with our ethos, as well as language and music classes.
Football
Through our partnership with Stevenage FC and location at their Academy we are proud to offer football sessions on the club’s state of the art synthetic surfaces, led by FA qualified coaches. Sessions focus on developing FUNdamentals and ABC’s (Agility, Balance and Coordination), as coaches seek to help develop children’s core skills using fun games.
Music & Movement
Children receive a weekly music session which encourages them to learn new songs and dance moves which are focused around developing confidence, coordination and core motor skills.
Language Class
Language classes encourage our children to learn either French or Spanish and to develop knowledge of different cultures and languages whilst extending their communication and language development skills. Please note that all classes are subject to change in line with the seasons and our children’s requirements.
Weekly Themes
Each week at Rookies we look to implement a learning theme into our active curriculum which we then apply activities to. Themed weeks include British, Space, Animal, Africa and Transport weeks.
Trips & Visits
Children also have access to a variety of active and educational trips which include local nature walks, zoos, farms and seasonal activities. Rookies also host special guests from the community including the emergency services, mobile farms, Stevenage FC and health based providers.

Annual & Special Events
Our Rookies annual and special events are parent and child focused and include our annual sports day, family fun day to a Stevenage FC match, summer fete and our special Rookies Graduation for those children moving onto Primary School. In addition, we also run a series of events in aid of our Rookies Charity of the Year.
